High School Ministries
HIGH SCHOOL NEWS - FALL 2016
“We seek to connect students with other students, help them to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, worship the Lord through their lives, serve others through ministry and missions, and reach out to the community and world for Christ.”
Perspectives meets every Sunday morning at 11:00 AM in our High School wing, mid September - April. The focus is on worldview training, the Christian's perspective on creation, sin, God, current events and how to apply our beliefs in real world situations.
This is for 9th -12th grades.
Roots meet twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Sunday nights from 6:30-8:30 PM. They meet in leader's homes to discuss relevant topics and basically "do life together". Each grade has their own leader and group so they can stay connected.
A couple times a semester, high school students partner with local organizations to serve in a variety of ways. This allows the students to get out of their comfortable environments, helping those in need and discovering their gifts. This past year the high school group helped at a local food pantry and shoveled the streets/driveways in the Village of Caledonia.
